Karta AI

Karta-AI-Intro

Active

Karta AI is an agentic Voice AI platform built for inbound and outbound operations for Financial Services companies. Its agents resolve customer calls end-to-end rather than routing them to a human. A proprietary context engine compiles a company’s SOPs and policies into machine-executable procedures. The agent can then verify the caller, work across CRMs, APIs and ticketing tools, and complete the workflow behind the request. A self-learning language model, tuned for Indian telephony, improves with every resolved call. Karta is delivered as SaaS or hybrid, with human-in-the-loop control and built-in guardrails for regulated workflows.

Problem statement

Most Financial Services customer support still runs on human agents backed by IVRs and rule-based bots. Those bots handle simple, single-step queries and push everything else to human operators. The complex calls, such as disputes, double debits, disbursement failures and KYC mismatches, need judgment across several systems. They are a small share of call volume but drive most of the cost and compliance risk. Today’s tools deflect calls instead of resolving them, and the gap is widest on inbound calls, where the customer’s problem is open-ended.

Investment thesis

Founder pedigree

Product and AI/data science leadership with 30+ years of combined experience. Vijaypal Singh (IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Bombay) has led product at Razorpay and Practo. Abhishek Kushwaha (IIT Bombay) brings AI and engineering depth from Walmart Global Tech and Brillio.

Proprietary tech

A stateful context engine converts SOPs into executable procedures, and an adherence layer enforces each step without skipping or assuming. Together with a self-learning SLM and cross-session memory, this gives auditable resolution rather than conversation alone.

Financial Services-native, inbound-first

Built for high-complexity inbound workflows such as money movement, KYC, fraud and disputes. This is a separate product layer from the campaign-led outbound dialers that make up most of the market.

Early traction

Live with 10+ enterprise clients across Financial Services, including PhonePe, Pine Labs and Vyapar, with existing customers expanding their deployments.

Platform roadmap

A path from voice agents to broader operations agents, including document processing, lead qualification, retention and support, supported by a skills marketplace and partner integrations.

Large, fast-growing market

The global conversational AI market is projected to grow from $17.7bn in 2026 to $78.9bn by 2033 (23.8% CAGR).

Building reliable AI solutions for enterprises requires more than great technology — it requires a deep understanding of customer needs and how large institutions operate. Cedar Hill Capital brings a unique combination of Financial Services expertise, industry relationships, and a founder-first approach. We see them as a strategic partner who can help us accelerate enterprise adoption and build Karta AI for the long term.
