Pankaj Gupta
Pankaj Gupta is a deep-tech builder with expertise in AI engineering and infrastructure. His early career was shaped by academic rigour and hands-on product development, leading him to co-found Blance alongside Ashutosh Singh and Neeraj Gupta — a FinTech platform that would eventually evolve into RevRag AI. When the team pivoted in 2023, Pankaj took on the challenge of building the technical foundation of an entirely new category of BFSI-grade AI agent.
At RevRag AI, he led the development of the Octopus Orchestrator, a self-learning policy engine that selects the optimal channel, script, and language for each user in real time. He also drove the fine-tuning of multilingual speech models on regional Indian language datasets, achieving sub-second latency across more than twelve languages — the technical breakthrough that made RevRag’s voice AI trustworthy enough for regulated financial institutions. As CTO, Pankaj owns the AI infrastructure and the compliance-by-design framework, including RBI data localisation and SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications.
He holds an MTech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, with a background in AI Engineering.
